About Custom Framing
The most important  thing to remember about
custom framing is the word
"custom".  With plenty
of input from you, we design and create a piece
which will
reflect your ideas, your tastes and your
decor
.  While a good frame design takes into account
colors and setting, it should also be both up-to-date
and timeless; while that might sound odd it means
that a
well-designed frame piece of art should not need
to be re-framed for a very long time
.
Custom framing is more than just "picture framing"; we can help you with that
shadowbox collection of family memorabilia, the collection of artwork from your
favorite travel spots
, a group of family photos, a set of beautiful botanical prints,
your child's Thanksgiving handprint turkey or your diplomas (the most valuable
piece of paper you will ever own!).
And don't forget that we specialize in
needlework of all types so that you can display the results of your hard work!
Want a simple, basic presentation?  We have an extensive selection of frame
samples from the classic simple blacks and woods to the trendy to the most
traditional.
There is a place for every style and every taste and our job is to find
out what yours is and get it on the wall!
Experience counts.  You want to trust that your
framer knows the
right materials to use and the
right way to use them
.  Today we have so many
exciting choices that can really
make a design
statement
and yet protect the art from damage.
Mats made of cotton rag or alpha-cellulose can add

vibrant color accents
to your artwork and keep it safe
from the damaging acids which leach from the wood
pulp based mats despite buffering.  Glass with
protective UV filters can help screen harmful UV rays
from your artwork and museum glass can offer both
UV protection and a clear, anti-reflective glazing that
makes your artwork pop.
